Shipping & Delivery

What are my shipping options?

UPS – Your wagyu beef order will always ship via UPS. Your order will ship Ground if your address is within 450 miles of Maries River Wagyu, or 2-Day Air if it’s beyond 450 miles, to anywhere in the U.S. Different shipping options/prices will be presented based on the weight of your order and your delivery address.

FedEx – Your wine order will always ship via FedEx. Some restrictions apply: we can’t ship alcohol to Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Utah.

NOTE: Not all options available for all addresses.

FedEx Overnight
Delivered by 8:00pm (local time) to residential addresses
Saturday delivery limited to selected residential addresses

FedEx Priority Overnight
Delivered by 10:30am (local time) for MOST addresses
Delivered by 5:00pm (local time) for some RURAL addresses.

How are my shipping charges calculated?

Shipping charges are calculated based on the total estimated weight of your order, the address you are shipping to and the delivery date you choose during checkout.

Can my order be delivered tomorrow?

Yes. If you place your order before Noon EST, Monday to Thursday, you can usually select the next day for delivery.

Can I select my delivery date?

Yes. We love when people plan ahead. During checkout, you can pick any available delivery date within 4 weeks from the day you place your order.

Can I ship my order to more than one address?

No. Each individual order must ship to a single qualifying address. If you wish to ship to multiple addresses, you must place separate orders.

Can my shipping address be different from my billing address?

Yes.

Why is a phone number required on the shipping address?

FedEx requires shipping addresses have a valid telephone number to provide an additional method to contact the recipient should there be complications or issues with the shipment.

Are there any shipping or delivery restrictions?

Yes. Wagyu beef orders must ship to a single address in the 50 U.S. States or District of Columbia.

Wine orders can’t be shipped to Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Utah, but can be shipped to a single address in the other 46 U.S. States.

Additionally, we are unable to deliver orders to:
• PO Box addresses (all shipments require a physical address).
• APO/FPO addresses (due to the perishable nature of our products).
• International addresses (due to customs laws).

Can I change or reschedule my delivery date?

Sometimes. If you wish to amend a delivery date, you should contact Customer Service immediately. Provided your order hasn’t already been packed and/or left our facility, we will make every effort to accommodate your request. In SOME cases, changing a delivery date will require having to cancel your original order and place a new order – as shipping costs may vary by delivery date.

Can I change my delivery address?

If your order hasn’t already been packed and/or left our warehouse, you can contact our Customer Service department to do this. In most cases, changing delivery address requires cancelling your original order and placing a new order (as shipping rates will change depending on the delivery location).

What if my order shipped to the wrong and/or invalid address?

Maries River Wagyu is not responsible for validating shipping addresses. Any shipment that is undeliverable and/or delivered incorrectly due to incorrect, incomplete and/or invalid shipping addresses voids our guarantee and/or the ability to refund the order in question – which is why Maries River Wagyu strongly urges you to check and verify all addresses and zip codes carefully when placing your order.

Do I have to be home to receive my delivery?

We send our packages with No Signature Required, and UPS and FedEx will normally leave your package with some important exceptions: It is up to the UPS or FedEx driver’s discretion whether the package can be left at an apartment/condo complex when there is no secure place to leave the package, or they cannot gain access directly to your unit. If you are delivering to a business address, UPS and FedEx generally requires a signature and will not be able to leave a package if the business is closed. Orders greater the $500 may require a signature. Maries River Wagyu cannot take responsibility for packages that are undeliverable for these reasons, so please plan accordingly.

What if UPS failed to deliver my order on the specified date/time?

In most cases, we recommend you contact UPS Customer Service directly – as this is generally the fastest way to resolve the issue because UPS will know more about the delivery status, have information on where to pick up the order, and/or know if/when a second delivery will be attempted.

Can I pick up my order directly at your warehouse?

No. It is our policy that all consumer orders placed at MariesRiverWagyu.com ship via UPS.

Will I be notified when my order ships?

Yes. On the day your order is scheduled to ship, a shipping confirmation email containing your UPS tracking number and a link to the UPS website will be sent to the email address you used when placing you order. If you don’t receive a tracking email, please feel free to contact Customer Service.

Why is tracking information not available at the UPS or FedEx website?

It’s likely your order hasn’t been picked up by UPS or FedEx from our facility and/or UPS (for beef) or FedEx (for wine) is in the process of updating their website. After receiving your shipping confirmation email, it can sometimes take a few hours for your tracking information to show up on the UPS and FedEx websites and/or show the status/movement of your shipment.

How will my order be packed?

Your order will be handpicked from stock held in our refrigerated warehouse. It will be carefully packed in an eco-friendly insulated box with reusable ice/gel packs designed to maintain your items in good condition for up to 48 hours. Some items, due to size, may ship in alternate packaging. (Note: Frozen items may thaw during transit.)

How can I dispose of the insulated box?

Our eco-friendly packaging is not just recyclable, it’s compostable and biodegradable. The Green Cell Foam insulation is made with 100% all-natural, non-GMO corn grown in the U.S. Cut open the outer plastic film and add to your #4 PE recyclables. Dissolve small pieces of foam in the sink and watch it “melt” safely down the drain; it will biodegrade in seawater and freshwater. Larger pieces can go in a bucket and sit overnight to fully dissolve. Green Cell Foam is compostable in any residential or commercial compost facility and will biodegrade in 60 days or less when in a moist soil environment. Green Cell Foam burns cleanly and safely in fireplaces, fire pits, and power plants— it can even work to start a grill.

What should I do with the ice packs in my order?

Ice gel packs are reusable. Store them in your freezer and use them to keep food cold on road trips, picnics, or outings. Throw them away anytime they are punctured or leaking. The contents of ice gel packs are non-toxic and contain 98% water and 2% sodium polyacrylate, a polymer commonly found in many household and personal items. The product contains no substances which at their given concentration, are considered to be hazardous to health.

Food Related

What is Gluten?

Gluten is a general name for the proteins found in wheat, rye, barley and triticale – a cross between wheat and rye. These proteins give bread and other baked goods their springy texture, and help bind ingredients in other foods. Gluten acts as a glue of sorts, and can be found in many prepared foods.

Are Maries River Wagyu products Gluten-Free?

While all raw meat is naturally gluten-free, regardless of what the animal is fed, some of our prepared products may contain gluten, or be made in a facility that processes other products that may contain soy, dairy, wheat or tree nuts. Please check individual product details and ingredients.

Are your photos of actual food?

Yes. The product images used on our site are the actual products we sell. We do our best to select and photograph a product that best represents the item, with the understanding that with raw food, the item you receive may have slight differences in size, shape, composition, color and/or marbling.

Can I refreeze frozen items which have thawed slighted during transit?

Yes. According to the USDA, it is safe to refreeze uncooked foods that have thawed under refrigeration, although there may be a loss of quality due to the moisture lost through thawing. Alternatively, for defrosted products you choose to keep in the refrigerator, we recommend using them in 3-5 days.

How long will frozen products last in my freezer?

Generally, the USDA states freezing keeps food safe almost indefinitely, with quality being affect by the freezer conditions and length of time being frozen. A key component to maintaining quality is ensuring the wrapping/packaging of the product is not permeable to air (i.e vacuum sealed). For optimum taste and tenderness, the USDA recommends storing all frozen foods at 0° F (or lower) to retain vitamin content, color, flavor and texture. If you do not vacuum seal all your frozen food and/or given your home freezer may not be that cold, we recommend you use frozen products within 4 weeks of receipt.

Who can buy Maries River Wagyu products?

We sell to many food retailers across the nation. While we work to develop a store locator, we encourage you to look for our products when you’re shopping. Alternatively, you can Contact Us and we’ll do our best to try and locate the closest Maries River Wagyu retailer in your area.
